Kata Ganti atau Pronoun (Personal/ Possessive/Reflexive)

Dalam bahasa indonesia kita mengenal adanya kata ganti. Hal tersebut juga terdapat dalam Bahasa Inggris. Pronoun meliputi :

a. Personal Pronoun

• Personal pronoun dapat digunakan sebagi pengganti subjek misalnya Johny exercices hard. He will have an game . Dapat pula sebagai  Objek yang dipakai setelah verbs atau preposisi kata depan Donny called me last night atau I went to Jakarta with him

b. Possessive pronoun

• Sebagai possesive adjective yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri dan selalu dikuti kata benda seperti : His uncle is very rich atau  I went to beach with my uncle
• Sebagai possesive pronoun selalu berdiri sendir( tidak diikuti kata benda), tetapi benda nya harus disebtkan sebelumnya. Example : The Blue shirt is mine and the with ne is hers atau dalam sebuah percakapaj misalnya “Whose bag is this? Its his”

c. Reflexive Pronoun

• Reflexive pronoun digunakan pada saat subject dan complement menjunjukkan benda atau orang yang sama. Contohnya : When I was cutting the potatoes, I cur my self atau contoh lain She laughed at herself when she saw her video record in DVD player.
• Digunakan sebagai emphatic pronoun untuk mnegaskan suject atau object. Seperti anda dapat lihat sebagai contoh dibwah ini : He himself cooked the mail.
